Tyson Chicken Cups target high protein snack demand
Tyson Foods has expanded its Tyson Chicken Cups line with three new flavors1: Garlic & Herb, BBQ and Harissa. The new varieties are designed for consumers seeking convenient, heat-and-go high protein foods.
Garlic & Herb is intended to offer broad appeal, with Tyson citing research that 83% of consumers said they love or like the flavor profile. The company said purchase intent is especially strong among Millennials and Gen Z consumers.
BBQ adds a familiar flavor option, with Tyson reporting that 80% of consumers expressed positive sentiment toward the profile. The company described the flavor as a mix of grilled and smoky notes.
Harissa brings a globally inspired flavor to the line. Tyson said the profile was influenced by quick-service restaurant trends and is projected to grow 14% over the next four years.
