Mars Snacking will add about 600 jobs in Chicago as it expands its global headquarters operations and consolidates leadership and support teams in the city.

The expansion includes bringing Mars Snacking’s North America region, accelerator division and global functions into its Chicago headquarters footprint. Mars Snacking said Chicago will serve as a strategic hub to connect teams, accelerate innovation and support long-term growth.

The company plans to open a new North America regional office hub in Chicago’s Fulton Market district with capacity for more than 1,000 associates. Mars Snacking’s accelerator division will also establish a new global office hub in downtown Chicago, taking over the former Kellanova global and North America headquarters.

State officials said Mars Snacking supports more than 4,000 jobs in the Chicago region and produces more than 20 brands there, in addition to anchoring its Global Innovation Center.

Illinois’ Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity said the project is supported through an Economic Development for a Growing Economy agreement, according to a joint announcement by Mars Snacking and the office of Governor JB Pritzker. As part of that agreement, Mars Snacking committed to a $100 million investment and to creating 602 new full-time jobs.

Separately, Mars Snacking announced the Mars Snacking Foundation’s Better Community Fund, which the company said will distribute more than $3.6 million in grants in 2026 to more than 30 projects through its community grant programs.
