Bubs, the viral Swedish candy brand known for its bold flavors and playful shapes, has officially launched nationwide. For convenience services operators, the brand’s entry into the U.S. market reflects the influence that social media buzz is generating in consumers.

Bubs is well established in Sweden as part of the country’s “Saturday sweets” tradition, where families mix and match candies into paper bags each weekend. Things changed when the brand went viral on TikTok in 2024, as videos showcasing the candy’s marshmallow-meets-gummy texture, packed in novel shapes, drove up American demand.

Bubs is launching four of its most popular flavors — Sour Lemon Raspberry Skulls, Sour Strawberry Vanilla Diamonds, Sweet Banana Toffee Ovals and Sour Tutti Frutti Diamonds — in 5 oz bags. Vending and micro market operators with locations primarily serving younger demographics may want to consider the trending, plant-based candy brand that already has strong name recognition. Tapping into two consumer trends — global flavors and better-for-you formulations — Bubs could help drive engagement.

Manufactured by Orkla Snacks, Bubs is initially rolling out to nationwide retailers.
