Danone: Oikos new Blended Greek yogurt is so thick, creamy and fruit-filled, you can eat it with a fork
Danone has reformulated and rebranded its Oikos yogurt with 50% more fruit and a creamier taste as it seeks to revitalize the Greek yogurt category.
CNBC reported that North America has become an increasingly important part of Danone’s overall business after the French company bought WhiteWave in 2017, roughly doubling its U.S. business. The financial news network said Danone is positioning Oikos as a "grab and go" option as workers return to the office.
In announcing the new line, Danone is boasting that yogurt lovers can toss aside their spoons and upgrade their basic Greek yogurt with the new Oikos Blended Greek Nonfat Yogurt – a yogurt so creamy and filled with 50% more fruit it is “forkable.”
Oikos products are blended with creamy, fresh milk sourced from family-owned farms. Danone said it is investing more than $6 million to advance regenerative agriculture practices.
Oikos Blended is now available nationwide in white packaging and attractive images of fresh fruit in a 5.3-oz. serving. The lineup is available in six flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Peach, Cherry, Vanilla Bean and Anything But Plain. Suggested retail price is $1.29 per single serving.
