KIND adds Frozen Pints to growing plant-based lineup

May 21, 2021

KIND Healthy Snacks is continuing its expansion into the plant-based frozen treats category with KIND Frozen Pints. The company said its plant-based products are without compromised taste.

Just as it disrupted and elevated the bar category, KIND said its plans to become the global leader in healthy snacking. KIND Frozen Pints are a plant-based, creamy frozen treat with 4g. to 6g. of protein per serving.

The new frozen novelty addresses the $7 billion plant-based category, which is growing almost twice as fast as overall food sales (43% growth in the past two years), KIND reported.

The increasing popularity of nondairy frozen treats is part of the growing demand for vegan and plant-based food products of all kinds.

The plant-based frozen dessert market is among the top three sub-categories contributing to this category growth, increasing at a compound annual growth rate of 14%, according to KIND>

KIND's Frozen Pints are available in Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cherry Cashew, Coffee Hazelnut, Caramel Almond Sea Salt, Strawberry and Pistachio flavors.

Frozen Pints are preceded in the plant-based frozen treat category by KIND Frozen Treat Bars.

And in March, KIND announced its first-ever frozen breakfast snack offering. The KIND Frozen Smoothie Bowl features a fruit and almond milk base and is topped with creamy nut butter and crunchy granola.

With no more than 9g. of added sugar and 7g.-8g. protein, Smoothie Bowls can be consumed right out of the freezer.
