Raybern’s expands heat-and-eat sandwich line with sliders

Raybern’s is expanding beyond full-size frozen sandwiches with a smaller format aimed at convenience, sharing and everyday meal occasions.

Raybern’s has launched a new line of frozen sliders. Its expanded heat-and-eat sandwich lineup includes Cheeseburger Smashed Sliders, Birria Sliders and Ham & Swiss Sliders.

  • Cheeseburger Smashed Sliders include a grilled Angus beef patty with American cheese.
  • Birria Sliders include seasoned pork with chili spices and American cheese.
  • Ham & Swiss Sliders pair ham and Swiss cheese on a Hawaiian roll.

Designed for quick meals and snacks, each slider reportedly has 9 g of protein and is ready in minutes. Each package contains a pair of two-slider packs, or four sliders.

The launch moves Raybern’s beyond its full-size frozen sandwiches into a smaller format. The company said the sliders use bakery-soft bread and chef-crafted flavors intended for lunches, snacks and shareable occasions.

Doug Hall, senior director of business development at Raybern’s, said the sliders build on the brand’s frozen sandwich platform in an easier-to-eat, shareable format.

Raybern’s wholesale foodservice products may be available through Vendor’s Supply or authorized distributors, and operators can contact Raybern’s directly to confirm availability in their market.

Why this matters for convenience services operators

  • Demand for fresh, frozen and hot food continues to trend in convenience services. Though the Raybern frozen sliders are not currently packaged as single-serve, they may still appeal to some locations.
  • Smaller heat-and-eat sandwiches can fit micro markets, break rooms and other self-service foodservice settings and allow consumers to share a decadent treat.
  • Review frozen food offerings for products that combine quick preparation, protein and recognizable flavors.
