Lorissa’s Organic Snacks is launching a line of protein straws aimed at consumers who want certified allergen-free, clean-label snacks.

According to the company, the plant-based Lorissa’s Protein Straws are made with organic cassava, brown rice protein and avocado oil. Each serving contains 7 g of protein, and the product will debut in 4-oz bags in three flavors: Original, Salsa Fresca and Jalapeño Lime.

The product joins Lorissa’s existing lineup of beef, chicken, and turkey meat sticks, which the company says are certified free of the top nine allergens. The company’s meat stick flavors include Original Beef, Jalapeño Beef, Chili Crisp Chicken and Savory Herb Turkey.

Founder Lorissa Link said the company is focused on certification-backed claims for families managing food allergies and shoppers who rely on verified ingredient and allergen standards.

Lorissa’s Organic Snacks are made by Link Snacks, the company behind Jack Link’s, Golden Island, Country Fresh Meats, BiFi and Peperami.
