E.A. Sween adds four long shelf-life sandwiches for micro markets
E.A. Sween introduced four new long shelf-life sandwiches aimed at micro market operators, expanding options under its Deli Express and Market Sandwich brands.
The products launched in February 2025 and are built around a process that freezes sandwiches quickly, then “slacks” them to a refrigerated state for sale. E.A. Sween said its modified-atmosphere packaging helps preserve quality for up to 30 days after slacking.
One of the new items, the Market Sandwich Chipotle Chicken Wrap, features grilled white meat chicken, pepper jack cheese, and roasted poblano peppers with chipotle ranch dressing in a chipotle-flour tortilla.
Three new Deli Express sandwiches round out the launch. The Deli Express Cuban Style Sandwich combines ham, pulled pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and yellow mustard on a sub bun.
The Deli Express BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich pairs pulled pork with Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce on a sesame seed bun, according to the company.
E.A. Sween also added the Deli Express Hot Roast Beef and Cheese sandwich, which the company described as roast beef with cheese and a hint of onion.
