Fruitist launches grab-and-go blueberry snack cups for on-the-go consumers
Fruitist, the superfruit brand known for premium blueberries, has introduced Fruitist Snack Cups, a portable format designed for consumers seeking healthier grab-and-go options. The product is positioned as a natural alternative to processed snacks in workplace fridges found in micro markets and pantry service.
“People want tasty and nutritious snacks that fit their routines, so we created Snack Cups to meet them where they are,” Steve Magami, co-founder and chief executive officer of Fruitist, said in a statement.
Fruitist first introduced its Snack Cups earlier this year at Harvard Business School during a discussion on food innovation. For convenience services operators, the new cups present new options to bring fresh produce into vending, micro markets and office breakrooms. While Fruitist initially plans to distribute through club stores, regional and national retailers, and specialty food outlets, a strong demand for convenience services could incentivize wholesale channels.
