Candy Tax Approved In Lakewood City, Colorado, As Levy For Other Foods Ditched

The city of Lakewood in Colorado has implemented state laws to tax candy and soft drinks at 3 percent while repealing earlier rules to tax a wider variety of foods, according to Single-serve foods not defined as candy or soda, such as potato chips and pastries, are now exempt from the 3 percent tax.
