Five Star Announces Acquisition Of Eagle Vending

Sept. 5, 2018

CHATTANOOGA, TN – Canteen’s largest franchise, Five Star Food Service, today announces the acquisition of Eagle Vending Company, Inc., a Canteen franchise based in Marietta, Georgia.

Founded in 1983 by James Bryan, Eagle Vending has grown to one of Atlanta’s top convenience service providers winning numerous service awards over the last 35 years. Eagle joined the Canteen franchise system in 2012 and currently offers micro markets, full-line vending, premium coffee, and water services to nearly 1,000 locations across the greater Atlanta area.

Eagle Vending operated within a territory contiguous to Five Star - expanding its Canteen franchise service area to the south into metro Atlanta. Five Star will continue Eagle’s excellent service out of its world-class facility to surrounding cities including Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, and Smyrna, among others.

The acquisition is Five Star’s second of this year and second Canteen territory expansion in the same time frame.

“Eagle is a well-run operation with a strong reputation for service. We are encouraged by the potential for growth as we enter this new market,” said Alan Recher, President & CEO, Five Star Food Service. “My hat’s off to Jimmy and what he’s built here. We look forward to the opportunity to serve Eagle’s great customers.”
