SUNY Cortland Campus Gets Market Makeover By Robbins Vending
Cortland-based Robbins Vending created a new mini-mart for SUNY Cortland, as a solution to the New York college's loss of its on-campus Shop24, according to SUNY. Robbins Vending renovated Shop24 to create a new Campus Mini-Mart using equipment developed by Jofemar USA, a Florida-based provider of vending machines.
The market contains four dispensers linked to a central control module, two of which are refrigerated. The dispensers contain products ranging from full size boxes of cereal and milk to personal care items such as razors and nail clippers. The machines can handle products that range in weight from one ounce to eight pounds.
The prime hours of operation for the market are between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. As for payment, students or faculty can use cash, credit cards, cellphone-based payment apps or their SUNY Cortland I.D. Receipts may be emailed electronically.
