Lavazza expands menu alongside store growth in Hong Kong

Lavazza is bringing one of its best-selling mainland China beverages to Hong Kong as it expands its coffee shop presence.

Lavazza has opened its fifth Hong Kong store and introduced a buffalo milk latte across its locations. Yum China Holdings plans to expand to around 10 Hong Kong stores in the coming months, the company announced in a release.

Lavazza’s coffee shops are located within corporate and shopping settings. The stores serve freshly prepared coffee drinks alongside sandwiches, baked goods and desserts.

The coffee brand reached five locations less than a year after opening its first Hong Kong store in Central last November. Its stores are concentrated in office towers and shopping destinations in Central and Causeway Bay. The newest location is at Cheung Kong Center II.

The Buffalo Milk Latte combines espresso with buffalo milk and is available hot or iced. Yum China said the drink is among Lavazza’s best-selling beverages in mainland China, where sales exceeded 1.2 million cups in 2025. The company describes buffalo milk as naturally sweet, with a richer dairy aroma and smoother texture than regular milk.
