Meat snack brand Chomps will open a new dedicated manufacturing facility in Beatrice, Neb., in partnership with Landmark Snacks, a co-manufacturing partner. The snack brand’s second production site is expected to open in the second quarter of 2027, increasing annual capacity by 15%.

The expansion comes as Chomps is experiencing rapid growth: Its year-over-year sales rose 161%, surpassing the overall snack category’s 16.1% growth rate. The U.S. protein-snack market now stands at about $24 billion, nearly three times the growth rate of the broader $126 billion snack industry, according to brand research.

The Beatrice location was selected to optimize distribution efficiency due to its proximity to another Landmark facility, a skilled labor pool and infrastructure to support scale-up. It is expected to create roughly 150 new jobs.

Chomps CEO and co-founder Rashid Ali described the plant as a necessary milestone to meet growing demand and support future innovation. Landmark Snacks’ owner Chad Lottman emphasized that the facility will be custom-built to Chomps’ specifications, continuing the two companies’ collaborative manufacturing relationship.

By expanding its in-house production capabilities, Chomps seeks to strengthen its supply chain across wholesale, retail and unattended retail, and e-commerce channels.
