Nestlé S.A. has announced key leadership changes affecting its board and coffee business. Pablo Isla will succeed Paul Bulcke as chairman of the board, effective October 1, 2025, while Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen has been appointed CEO of Nespresso, effective November 1, 2025.

Bulcke, who had previously planned to step down in 2026, will leave the board early to allow for a smooth transition. He will be named honorary chairman in recognition of his years of service. Additionally, Dick Boer has been appointed lead independent director and vice chairman of the board, and Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch has been named vice chair of the board, both effective October 1.

Isla, previously vice chairman and chairman elect, brings extensive experience from his tenure as CEO of fast-fashion retailer Inditex and is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Nestlé’s global strategy.

At Nespresso, Gonzalez Loeschen has led the North American business since 2020, overseeing the expansion of the Nespresso Vertuo system. With more than 30 years at Nestlé, he has held leadership roles across multiple geographies and business operations.

Philipp Navratil, only recently named CEO of Nestlé, expressed confidence in Gonzalez Loeschen’s ability to advance Nespresso’s growth strategy, citing his experience in the portioned coffee segment and results-driven approach.
