Convenience-focused health-food brand Simply Good Jars announced it has partnered with Kraft Heinz's portfolio company Primal Kitchen to bring healthy and accessible salad options directly to consumers. As part of this pilot program, the partnering brands recently revealed a line of pre-made salads stored in tech-enabled vending machines.

The reveal is on display at the National Restaurant Show, an industry-exclusive event at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, held May 18-21. At the event, Simply Good Jars and Primal Kitchen have revealed a selection of its new products, including eight collaborative salad products.

Along with the ground-breaking nature of the salads themselves, the unique exhibit utilized new, branded vending refrigerators – powered by Simply Good Jars' life-extending food technology.

The display was part of a larger pilot project to distribute premium, ready-to-eat salads using Primal Kitchens clean dressings, which are made with Avocado oil. The partnership with Simply Good Jars enables the distribution of unique on-the-go health foods through a variety of channels, including self-cooled vending machines.

Earlier this year, Simply Good Jars began a targeted initiative to license its technological benefits to a select group of strategic partners to help them naturally extend the shelf life of their perishable products. The effort has started in the U.S. and Canada and will eventually expand into Europe and Latin America.

Along with its innovative fresh-food technology, Simply Good Jars is a leader in health nutrition and a B-Corp certified company that donates at least 20% of its profits. It is also dedicated to the net-zero carbon emissions commitment by 2030 and has set zero-waste goals. It has given away over 68,000 meals as part of its initiative to encourage consumers to pledge to reuse or recycle its jars.

By sharing its technology with companies like Primal Kitchen, Simply Good Jars is accelerating the availability of healthier food choices and ensuring that a quickly growing number of consumers can maintain higher nutritional standards.
