Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group (MZBG) announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Selecta Group, a Swiss-based foodtech leader with a world-class distribution network in Europe, for the supply of the Segafredo coffee in the main European markets.
The partnership expands Segafredo's coffee offer in the on-the-go sector and meets the company’s priority to grow with recognizable international partners. A new sustainable product line has been developed featuring several dedicated blends of real Italian espresso and will be distributed throughout the European continent. By partnering with Selecta, millions of Segafredo coffee cups per year will be supplied to its customers.
"We believe that this preferred partnership will consolidate our leadership in the foodservice professional business in the main European markets and enable us to grow the Segafredo brand in the vending channel. Furthermore, the partnership with Selecta increases our ability to offer support to our European customers in large organizations," Alberto Lusini, CEO of MZB USA and former GM of Northern Europe for Segafredo, said in the announcement.
"We are delighted to welcome Segafredo as a new addition to our portfolio of companies in the coffee sector," Jens van Beusekom chief procurement officer (CPO) of Selecta Group AG, added in the announcement. "This exciting and preferred partnership allows us to further satisfy the diverse tastes of our clients and consumers in the private and public sector. At Selecta we are committed to providing an even wider range of high-quality coffee brands, ensuring that every individual need is met. We look forward to growing our coffee offering in Europe together with Segafredo.”
