Five Star expands leadership team with two new regional vice presidents

Five Star Food Service, one of the largest privately held convenience services operators in the U.S. and the largest franchise of Canteen, a Compass Group company, announced it has expanded its leadership team with two hires.
Regional Vice President James Fargo is overseeing the Atlanta region including Athens, Marietta, Rome, Tucker, and Austell, Georgia, branches.
Regional Vice President Greg Lucia will be responsible for new Gulf Coast region that spans from Pensacola, Florida, to Lake Charles, Louisiana, including New Orleans.
Fargo and Lucia both have extensive leadership backgrounds and bring a wealth of knowledge to Five Star Food Service.
James Fargo
Prior to his role at Five Star Food Service, Fargo held several senior leadership roles with Walmart Stores spanning his 30 years of retail and wholesale service including Sam’s Club, Super Centers and the Neighborhood Market formats. He is an accomplished, energetic and results-oriented executive with expertise in leading operations, identifying untapped potential and energizing teams to deliver results.

Greg Lucia
Lucia came to Five Star through acquisition in 2022 after eight successful years at Refreshment Solutions in Louisiana. He has 33 years in sales management and operations experience. He is recognized for developing client relationships and delivering great customer service experiences. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
“I am excited to join the Five Star team and look forward to growing the Five Star footprint along the Gulf Coast by delivering best in class customer service,” Lucia said in the announcement.
