MI New Favorite Snack competition will be emceed and judged by legendary national and Detroit broadcaster Chuck Gaidica.
Gaidica is an iconic figure in southeastern Michigan, serving 27 years as the director of meteorology and on-air host for WDIV Local 4/Click on Detroit. He is an Emmy Award-winning television personality and entrepreneur.
MI New Favorite Snack is an event with $50,000 in prizes for small business snack competitors from across the entire state of Michigan. Hosting partner All Star Services will narrow the statewide field of submissions to a select number of finalists who will present their snacks in Port Huron on September 17, 2022. The top snack selected that day will be “MI New Favorite Snack.”
The competition registration page for MNFS is hosted by the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce.
“Having someone of Chuck Gaidica’s stature involved in this event is really special,” Blue Water Area Chamber CEO/President Thelma Castillo said in the announcement. “He is such a familiar and beloved person in our state. As a statewide competition, it was important to have a celebrity participating who truly represents Michiganders.”
