Campbell appoints EVP, supply chain chief

Campbell Soup Co. appointment of Daniel L. Poland executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, effective Jan. 10. Poland succeeds Bob Furbee, who is retiring after 38 years.

Poland will lead Campbell’s end-to-end supply chain function. This function comprises procurement, food safety and quality, occupational health and safety, engineering, planning and logistics, which applies to all manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers. He will report  to Campbell’s president and chief executive Mark Clouse.

Poland has extensive experience in the consumer packaged goods industry in supply chain, operations, plant management, and research and development roles at H.J. Heinz Co., Nestlé and Gerber. Most recently, Poland was chief operating officer of KIND Snacks.
