National Convenience Distributors LLC has acquired Century Distributors Inc., a wholesale product distributor to the convenience and grocery store industries in the mid-Atlantic region. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1976 and located in Rockville, MD, Century Distributors joins NCD as a newly created division. NCD said it is the fourth-largest wholesale convenience distributor in the U.S., servicing 12 states along the I-95 corridor. Its annual revenue is reported to be more than $3 billion.
Headquartered in Farmingdale, NY, NCD was formed through the acquisitions of Harold Levinson Associates, J. Polep Distribution Services, Allen Brothers Wholesale Distribution, Wustefeld Candy and now Century Distributors. It supplies over 17,000 customers in the northeastern United States from Maine to Virginia with candy, snacks, fresh sandwiches and salads, cigarettes and cigars, coffee, ice cream, and frozen and refrigerated foods.
"We are delighted to be investing in Century and their dedicated team," said NCD chief executive Jeff Allen. "We operate our business with great people and Century is a perfect fit within the NCD family."
