Gilly wins bid for vending machine, micro market concessions at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport

Aug. 5, 2021

Gilly Vending Inc. said it has been awarded the vending and micro market contract for the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), the nation's 17th largest airport. Gilly will be deploying "intelligent" vending equipment to meet the 24/7 demands of hungry travelers.

In addition to vending machines, Gilly will be placing self-serve smart coolers and unmanned micro markets to merchandise gourmet healthy and sustainably sourced grab-and-go meals. Gourmet options will include seasonal salads made fresh daily by Farmer's Fridge, handmade sandwiches and wraps, ready-hot meals and specialty coffees brewed by illy hot beverage machines.

"We are thrilled to be awarded this contract by the Minneapolis Airport Commission and look forward to bringing our advanced technological capabilities and unique concepts to Minneapolis," said Gilly Vending chief executive Gilda Rosenberg.

"Strong market growth in on-demand smart technologies for our automated kiosks has enabled us to continue to expand geographically, while delivering a quality enhanced customer experience," Rosenberg continued.

Gilly's latest equipment offerings are equipped with UV-light sanitation features and artificial intelligence, along with mobile app food lockers. Gilly will leverage its real-time inventory systems to keep its MSP concessions stocked and fresh.

Headquartered in Miami, Gilly Vending, a woman-owned business, is one of the largest independent vending and micro market operations in the U.S. It operates more than 30,000 machines in 46 states.

"Our ability to deliver consistent value and sustainable growth gives us the confidence to move more effectively into the second half of 2021 and beyond," Rosenberg added.
