Aramark is one of the best places for disability inclusion

July 26, 2021

Foodservice and facilities management giant Aramark was named one the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” by the 2021 Disability Equality Index, earning a score of 100%. This year marks the fifth in a row that Aramark received the DEI designation.

The DEI is a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability:IN. It is used by businesses and disability advocates as an assessment tool to measure disability workplace inclusion.

“The Disability Equality Index shines a spotlight on companies that believe they have a stake in creating a more equitable society for people with disabilities,” said AAPD president and chief executive Maria Town. “It is a conduit for our work championing disability rights for the 60 million Americans with disabilities and knocking down barriers to employment, technology, and healthcare and we're thrilled to see the progress being made today.”

Aramark uses the Disability Equity Index to benchmark its disability inclusion efforts. Inclusion is part of the company's broader 2025 Be Well. Do Well. plan to reduce inequity and support communities.
