Bobacino announced the appointment of Stacey Kwong as its chief "boba" officer and strategic advisor. Bobacino makes the eponymous fully automated boba bar, which produces bubble teas.
Kowng is cofounder of MILK+T, the first self-serve boba and bubble tea food truck. The boba truck was sold to in 2017 to make way for brick and mortar West Coast locations in Los Angeles, Portland and Las Vegas.
Over the past year, Kwong has been working behind the scenes for Bobacino, advising on business, operational and cultural strategies. She will continue to offer her knowledge and expertise as a boba tea entrepreneur and bubble tea savant as Bobacino’s CBO.
The appointment announcement comes on the heels of Bobacino’s crowdfunding campaign launch on StartEngine in early June. Almost $330,000 has been raised to date.
