Little Rock, Ark.-based Westrock Coffee Co. LLC announced that Chris Pledger will become the company’s new chief financial officer, effective immediately. He succeeds John Ebner, who retired from the company in October.
Since Westrock’s acquisition of S&D Coffee & Tea in February 2020, Pledger was was responsible for the company’s legal, compliance and regulatory affairs, as well as its mergers and acquisition activities, and the expansion of its coffee tea, and extracts capabilities in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Prior to his current role, Pledger was Westrock’s general counsel and chief development officer since October 2013, and president of Westrock Coffee International since November 2017.
“Chris Pledger has been an integral part of the Westrock Coffee team from the company’s founding in Rwanda in 2009, first as our outside legal counsel and more recently as a key member of Westrock’s executive team,” said Westrock chief executive Scott Ford.
