COVID-19 Causes $3.5 Trillion Drop in Global Labor Income

A study released by the International Labour Organization reveals that COVID-19 has caused a substantial drop in global labor income, which has declined by 10.7 percent, or $3.5 trillion during the first three quarters of 2020. In addition to increasing inequality between richer and poorer countries, the organization notes that the Americas is the hardest hit region.
