Amazon Exploring Turning Malls Into Distribution Centers

MarketWatch reports that Amazon is talking with Simon Property Group to use department store spaces as Amazon fulfillment centers. The companies are reportedly exploring converting spaces that were previously occupied by Sears and J.C. Penney and would help Amazon better service residential areas by providing a "last mile" solution to delivery.
