Lululemon, a sports apparel and fitness industry store, is putting up free digital vending machines for marathoners and sports enthusiasts in New York City and Chicago, according to Runner’s World. The machine will supply water, energy bars and gels, and emergency supplies such as sunscreen, Kleenex, and first aid kids, all of which are free to the consumer.
Machines in New York City will be open to all starting September 13, and will be removed November 8, just after the New York City Marathon.
Lululemon Chicago will be supporting the Chicago Marathon in part with a pop up running shop on the lakefront running path at Theatre on the Lake.
Runners can gear up with Lululemon accessories in addition to supplies such as water.
Although the vending machine goods are free, consumers are required to supply an email and share photos of the product on a social media with the hashtages #thesweatlifeNYC and #thesweatlifeCHI for each respective location.
