NAMA Announces 2017 Washington, DC Fly-In July 25-26, 2017

Feb. 24, 2017

NAMA's Government Affairs Division is excited to announce the third annual industry-wide Washington, DC advocacy event, NAMA Takes the Hill 2017, to take place July 25-26, 2017.

The NAMA Fly-In invites ALL industry members to attend and make your voice heard on Capitol Hill through meetings with your Senators and Representatives. We will be directly asking Members of Congress to support and pass legislation to protect the industry from overly-burdensome regulations and other important issues impacting the industry.

The 2017 event will build upon prior year successes from lessons learned and past attendee input. This year's event will provide new and expanded networking opportunities, structured grassroots education programming for first-time attendees and those who have attended previously, and policy positions to promote with elected officials that protect the industry's bottom line. With a new President and many new Members of Congress this year is likely the most important year yet for this premier event. We hope to increase attendance over and above the 261 that attended in 2016 and to increase the number of states represented from 40 to 42.

This is a must-attend event for anyone interested in promoting and protecting the industry and their business. As you may remember, there is no registration or participation fee for this event. The only out of pocket costs for you to attend is hotel and travel. Everyone is invited and no previous experience with advocacy efforts is needed. The latest in education and training will be provided to ensure that everyone is comfortable before meeting with their legislators.

The 2017 Fly-In is designed to bring the convenience services industry to Washington to meet with legislators and stress the importance of the industry in each congressional district, as well as discuss timely issues impacting the industry. The goal is to make our industry's presence known on Capitol Hill, educate Members of Congress about the industry through industry leaders' first-hand stories about their impact within each congressional district, and to provide networking opportunities throughout the event.

Today, NAMA is launching the registration site and participants are encouraged to secure their space for this important advocacy event by visiting: www.namaflyin.org.

For more information on attending or sponsoring, please contact Eric Dell or  Marilyn Dent.
