Lofton L. Little, "Schott", founder of Texas-based L.C. Vending and past president of the Texas Merchandise Vending Association, passed away at the age of 106.

Little was born in Junction, TX on June 10, 1910 to Floyd and Nina Little. He was raised on a sheep and goat ranch near Junction and moved to San Antonio in 1929 to attend Drawns Business College.

He married Helen Shelton in 1938, who preceded him in death. In 1953, he began what is now L.C. Vending Co., a family business operated by his son, daughter and grandson. Little was a past President of the Texas Merchandise Vending Association and also a past President of the San Antonio Manufacturer's Association.

He was one of the early members of St. David's Episcopal Church and was a member of the Optimist Club, 20-30 Club, and the Cosmopolitan Club. For several years, he served on the Board of Directors of Rudd-Milikan.

He is survived by his son Ladd, daughter Lynne Little Banks, and grandchildren: Tracy Dickens and husband Kelly; Ashley Long and husband, David; Egan Little and wife Amy. He is also survived by his nieces, Jeanette Lawrence and Jean Webber.

"Schott", as he was affectionately known, had a long, joyful life. He was an avid fisherman and fished many times in Canada, Alaska, Mexico and other parts of the United States.

Little celebrated his 106th birthday earlier this year.  L.C. Vending is still serving the San Antonio, TX area with full service vending and office coffee service, operated by the next generation of Littles.
