Richmond, VA-based Trolley House Refreshments has acquired Groovin’ Gourmets LLC, a full-service catering business, for an undisclosed price. According to Richmond.com, the deal closed May 23 and will bolster Trolley House Refreshments’ services and micro market food offerings.
About a year ago, Trolley House launched a subsidiary called Feast Catering + Events where the company prepares food for its micro markets and operates small scale catering. The acquisition of Groovin’ will expand Feast’s catering services and add to the food selection in Trolley House’s micro markets, the source reports.
All two dozen employees from Groovin’ Gourmets will be retained in the acquisition.
Trolley House Refreshment was launched in 2011 and is owned by Scott Halloran and Michael Calkins.
