Shaffer Distributing Company wishes to announce the retirement of Mr. Dennis Sterns, sales representative from the St. Louis office. Dennis has been in distribution sales for nearly 39 years. He joined J & J Distributing in 1988. J & J was subsequently acquired by the Shaffer Distributing Company in 1998.
Dennis has been consistently a strong sales performer for the Shaffer Distributing Company. He has been an excellent salesman and developed over the years many strong personal relationships with his customers. Dennis will be greatly missed; however we wish him the very best and hope he has many years of the “good life” ahead of him.
Dennis’ last day is April 29. Please join us in celebrating his career.
We are pleased to announce that Mike Carr has accepted the Sales Representative role for St. Louis. In his new role, he will be responsible for executing our sales strategies and leading our customer development initiatives for the Greater St. Louis Market and beyond.
Most recently, Mike was an Independent Agency Manager for multiple sports licensed products. Mike has 15 successful years in the sales industry. Prior to joining Shaffer Distributing Company, Mike spent time with Adidas/Reebok in various sales roles. These roles included managing multiple Midwest markets & working with the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Rams, University of Nebraska, Kansas, and the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition, Mike spent 10 years in Major League Baseball with the Oakland Athletics and Florida Marlins working in various roles.
We are extremely excited about Mike and are confident he will bring strength and enthusiasm to the position. Welcome Mike!
