Dec. 4, 2015

The U.S. economy created 211,000 jobs in November, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This strong performance may push the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates for the first time in nearly ten years, The New York Times predicts.

The November unemployment rate held at a steady 5 percent.

Job gains occurred in construction, professional and technical services, and health care. Mining and information lost jobs.
