(CHICAGO) November 11, 2015 – The NAMA Foundation announced today the recipients for its 2015 undergraduate scholarship program. The program awarded post-high school non-renewable scholarships of $2,500 to three recipients who were chosen at random.
The Foundation received more than 100 applications this year. To qualify for a scholarship, applicants were required to maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be a full-time employee or the son, daughter or legal dependent of a full-time employee at a NAMA member company, and be sponsored by that company.
The three winners are:
- James C. Daniels, Warren, Ohio, sponsored by AVI Foodsystems
- Melissa McCann, Fontana, California, sponsored by Betson Enterprises
- Thomas Porath, Lexington, Nebraska, sponsored by VVS, Inc.
“The Foundation is proud to once again provide NAMA members and their families with the means to pursue post-secondary education opportunities, especially considering the burden of ever-rising tuition and fees. We congratulate our 2015 winners and wish them all the best in their higher education endeavors.” said Lindsey Nelson, Executive Director of the NAMA Foundation.
