PGA Tour Debuts Twitter-Activated Vending Machine

The PGA Tour debuted a Twitter-activated vending machine at the FedEx Cup Playoffs in an effort to improve the fan experience. According to Sport Techie, users simply responded to “Who is your favorite PGA Tour player in the FedEx Cup Playoffs” on Twitter using #FedExCup and #Gift123 and were entered to receive prizes ranging from small, FedExCup branded premium items, to upgraded tickets, to signed golf memorabilia.

One fan won the prize of meeting PGA Tour winner Brooks Koepka.

The social media machine, created by Ohio-based Innovative Vending Solutions, will appear at the Deutsche Bank Championship, the BMW Championship and TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.
