North Dakota’s Classic Vending believes in giving back. The company recently donated $500 in scholarship money to the West Fargo Area Scholarship Fund, West Fargo Pioneer reports, bringing Classic Vending’s total donation to the organization to nearly $8,000. The West Fargo Area Scholarship Fund is a community-based scholarship program with the goal to provide financial assistance to students in the West Fargo School District who continue their education after high school. Danielle Dube was this year’s recipient of the Classic Vending scholarship.
Many vending operations in the U.S. make philanthropy part of their business strategy. Lincoln County Vending, located in Fayetteville, TN, has established and awarded multiple scholarships each year to college students in its area. The Answer Group, located in Farmingdale, NY, also annually donates more than $200,000 to the Public School Athletic League which provides opportunities for educating students in health and wellness. Many other vending companies volunteer as a team around their local communities and/or raise money for local organizations.
