NAMA DC Fly-In To Include Expanded Attendee Benefits: Monuments By Night Tour And Uber Transportation Savings

June 12, 2015

(CHICAGO) June 12, 2015 – NAMA announced today that the agenda for NAMA Takes the Hill 2015 will include expanded offerings for attendees including a night tour of Washington D.C.’s famous monuments and savings on transportation for first-time Uber users.

“We are so thankful to all the Fly-In participants who are taking time out of their very busy schedules to come to D.C. and advocate on behalf of the industry,” said Eric Dell, NAMA SVP of Government Affairs. “We want to make attendees’ time in our nation’s capital special, and are excited to provide this unique opportunity to see some of Washington’s most famous monuments and learn the history behind them.”

Fly-In attendees will partake in a professionally guided tour in private, chartered buses to see some of the city's most popular monuments including the White House, U.S. Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. At the Lincoln Memorial, attendees will have the opportunity to leave the bus for a short walking tour. The Monuments by Night Tour is free of charge to all Fly-In participants thanks to its sponsors, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and RSA Buying Group.

Another new, exciting addition to the event is a partnership with Uber (www.uber.com). “We wanted to make the Fly-In as convenient as possible for our attendees because for many, it will be their first advocacy event of this caliber, and perhaps their first trip to D.C.,” said Dell. “In an effort to make attendee travel easier, this Uber partnership provides first-time Uber users with their first ride for free up to $20 and is only available with the NAMA Fly-In promo code provided to attendees.”

NAMA Takes the Hill 2015 is designed to bring the vending and refreshment services industry to Washington to meet with their legislators and stress the importance of the industry in each congressional district. The goal is to make the industry’s presence known on Capitol Hill and educate Members of Congress on the industry through first-hand stories from industry leaders about their impact within each congressional district.
