CULVER CITY, Calif. – H.U.M.A.N. (Helping Unite Mankind and Nutrition) a leading distributor of convenient healthy snack foods, announced today that it has named Ryan Schneider as President & COO. As an expert in the field with extensive experience in the food procurement and supply chain industry, Schneider’s leadership will benefit the brand tremendously as it continues on the fast-track for growth, breaking into new markets and corporations nationwide.

Most recently, Schneider served as the VP of Sales and Business Development at FoodLink, a Northern California-based technology company that provides supply chain and commerce solutions to the grocery and food industry. Prior to FoodLink, Schneider worked for Rustic Canyon Partners, which provided venture capital in the technology space. With degrees in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, Schneider has a deeply rooted passion and understanding for health, wellness, and business development. As President & COO, Schneider will be focused on oversight of day-to-day operations, financial management, recruitment, and system-wide growth.

“We are at a pivotal point in our growth phase and the greatest advantage we have over our competition is our leadership and our people who have a strong passion to attain our goal of creating easy access to nutrition,” said 32-year-old Sean Kelly, Co-Founder and CEO of HUMAN. “Ryan’s diverse background and proven track record will be extremely valuable in the management and execution of our brand’s strategy.” The announcement comes on the heels of HUMAN’s initiative to modernize corporate wellness programs by providing businesses the missing piece of the wellness puzzle – easy access to nutrition. The brand’s customized platforms serve as a tool for corporations to optimize their existing programs and make them more effective. HUMAN’s Corporate Markets, which are self-service natural food stores; SnackNation, which is a convenient snack delivery service; and vending machines, which are stocked with an unbelievable variety of great tasting healthful foods, allow workplaces to provide easy access to nutrition, improve employee health, boost morale, increase productivity and slash healthcare costs. Some of the country’s most prominent and innovative companies are embracing HUMAN’s platforms, including Apple, Wells Fargo, HP, BlueCross BlueShield and Tesla.

“The culture and team at HUMAN truly inspires me,” said Schneider. “My career has always been driven by having a positive impact, driving wellness, productivity, and quality of life, and the potential for positive change at HUMAN is unlimited. What is most exciting, coming from the venture capital world, is seeing an opportunity to take HUMAN to the next level in terms of growth and impact – and the company’s multi-faceted platform is exponential in terms of growth.” HUMAN was founded by social entrepreneur and nutrition activist Sean Kelly in 2008 with the mission of providing an ease of access to nutrition. As the industry is just beginning to catch onto the trend of modernizing corporate wellness programs,  HUMAN is leading the movement, disrupting the $42 billion vending industry with more than 2,000 healthy food Micro Markets and vending machines across 45 U.S. states, Canada, and Puerto Rico. As a result, the company has been ranked by Inc.
