Taco Bell plans to begin testing delivery service in 2015, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Taco Bell CEO Brian Niccol told the source that his goal was to situate the chain as an “on-demand brand”. The move comes as part of an initiative to “position Taco Bell as a forward-thinking brand for Millennials and future generations in the rapidly changing quick-service landscape,” Niccol told NRN.
The chain will also push a new loyalty program designed for digital engagement, the source reports.
In November 2014 Starbucks announced that it will begin food and beverage delivery this year.
