Vending Industry Legend David Sustman Passed Away March 17

David R. Sustman—beloved husband, dad and papa, born March 24, 1936, to Frank and Corlynn Belle (Norman) Sustman—passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

Dave owned Webb's Candy Store in Boerne, TX, and was a National Field Sales Manager of Vending. Originally with Austin Quality Foods, Dave also worked for Biscomerica and served on the Trade Show Advisory Committee. He was named Automatic Merchandiser’s 1995 Manufacturer of the Year.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Joyce; five daughters: Patty Heaney and husband Richard of Boerne, Tina White and husband Aaron of Boerne, Heather Rice and husband Brian of Boerne, Sandy Drelicharz and husband Michael of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and Jan Piland and husband Ralph of Salisbury, Maryland. Dave also leaves behind grandchildren: Sammy Valenzuela and husband Robert of Boerne, Katie Sichta and fiance Skye Toepperwein of Boerne, Noah David Piland, Danielle Drelicharz, Amy Drelicharz; and great granddaughter Kylee Valenzuela. He is also survived by his beloved four-legged children and grandchildren, Sophie, Sally, Diesel, Bella, Spooky, Chica, Scout, and Zoe.

Dave was greeted at Heaven's Gate by his parents, Frank and Corlynn; sister, June Huebsch; and granddaughter, Nicole Drelicharz.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Kalter, Dr. Marvin Moszkowics, Virginia, Shenae, and the entire Vitas Hospice team for the love and care they extended to Dave, as well as our many friends for their love and support during this time. Dave will be missed by all, including his friends at the R.V. and Thunderbird Clubs.

Dave requested no formal services to be held, but would appreciate donations in his name be made to Hill Country Animal League in person or by mail at 924 N. Main Street, Boerne, Texas 78006.
