(CHICAGO) September 4, 2014 – Joann DeNardis, NAMA Director of Education/Certification, announced today that NAMA will host two educational webinars on September 9 and 10, featuring speakers from this year’s upcoming CTW.

“These live webinars offer a valuable sneak preview of our CTW speakers’ must-see sessions in November,” DeNardis said. “The speakers will cover two key areas of interest to our operators – risk management and building a strategic workforce.”

On Tuesday September 9, learn why big data is a big deal. Jamie Womack, Vice President of Marketing and Branding at CareerBuilder, will host “Big Data: Your Best Bet in the War for Talent,” which will focus on how to harness big data to provide more accurate information, improve decision-making and boost future innovation. Attendees will learn how to utilize data to develop a strategic workforce plan, hone in on key talent and drive their companies toward future success. In addition to her role in marketing and branding, Womack manages employment brand solutions for CareerBuilder and contributes to its employer blog.

“Big Data: Your Best Bet in the War for Talent” will take place at 1:30pm CDT on September 9.

On Wednesday September 10, find out what to do in the case of an OSHA inspection. Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., a partner in the Atlanta office of Fisher & Phillips LLP and co-chair of the firm's Workplace Safety and Catastrophe Management Practice Group, will host “Effectively Handling an OSHA Inspection: How To Legally Protect Your Rights.” To help operators better prepare for an inspection, topics will include doing your own pre-inspection, strategies for professionally dealing with investigators, document handling and legal options in the event of a citation. Prior to his work at Fisher & Phillips LLP, Foulke served as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health from 2006-2008.
