Tennessee Department Of Safety Installs Self-Serve Driver’s License Vending Machine

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has installed a self-service driver’s license vending machine on the University of Tennessee campus, according to ABC WATE. Users can renew or replace driver’s license or state-issued ID cards at the machine, which takes a photo and uses facial recognition to verify the image on record, then prints an interim license valid for twenty days.
