John J. Newnam, JJN, a longtime veteran of the vending industry whose career spanned several decades, passed away after a yearlong illness. Newnam started his career at the Macke Co. in Philadelphia, Pa. Over the next several years, Newnam was vice president at Vend-Rite Service Corp. in Bensalem, Pa. and general manager at Ralley Downes Services in Conshohocken, Pa. He also co-founded Selective Vending Services, Inc. with his partner Jeff Killian.
Newnam always took a customer-first service approach throughout his career and his teachings and management style left most people that have worked for him over the years with an experience that will always be remembered. Those who knew JJN especially appreciated his passion and dedication to his family, business, politics and his beloved Phillies.
Newnam leaves behind his wife Mary, a son, daughter and five grandchildren and will be missed by all friends and family.
