Apriva's Spinella Joins ETA Industry Relations Committee

Jan. 27, 2014

Apriva announced that Chris Spinella, the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer, has been selected to the Electronic Transactions Association’s (ETA) Industry Relations committee. His appointment is effective immediately.

As part of his responsibilities with the committee, Spinella will share his insight and expertise to help the ETA develop and communicate a number of positions on a variety of business and compliance issues affecting the electronic payments industry and its key stakeholders.

“Apriva has been a long time supporter of ETA, and has a number of our team members serving in advisory capacities for the organization,” said Stacey Finley Tappin, Apriva’s senior vice president for North America sales and marketing communications, in a prepared statement. “We’re pleased that Chris will join our efforts to ensure that ETA members—and the electronic payments industry as a whole—are properly positioned to address the exciting new opportunities in mobile commerce that are regularly presenting themselves.”

In addition to Spinella’s participation on the Industry Relations committee, Apriva has several other staff members currently serving on ETA committees. Tappin sits on the ETA’s Membership Engagement committee, while Patricia Heit, director of partner integrations and senior architect, serves on the ETA’s Technology committee. Robin Rotz, Apriva’s director of marketing, serves on the ETA’s TRANSACT Program Planning committee and Benjamin Hurley, director of mobile product management, is on the organization’s Mobile Payments committee. In addition, Apriva has placed several executives and staff members on various committees over the past several years.
