Southeast operators gain education opportunities at SEVA and KAMC events

The state council for Kentucky will participate SEVA as both organizations host summer meetings with regional operators and suppliers.

Southeast vending, micro market and office coffee service operators will have two opportunities to connect with peers, hear legislative updates and discuss technology trends as the Southeastern Vending Association convenes in June and the Kentucky Automatic Merchandising Council holds its annual meeting in July.

SEVA 2026 is scheduled for June 23-25 at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Ala. The association said the event is open to vending, coffee service and foodservice industry members and will include networking, supplier engagement, professional speakers and development opportunities.

KAMC has joined eight other state organizations as a partner at this year's SEVA annual meeting, according to information provided by the council. Several Kentucky operators are expected to attend the SEVA Show.

For operators, the SEVA meeting offers a regional forum to compare business challenges, meet suppliers and discuss market trends with peers across the Southeast. The program is expected to include state meetings, an opening night reception, a supplier showcase, professional development sessions, an annual silent auction and networking activities.

KAMC will continue the education and networking focus at its 2026 annual summer meeting July 30-31. The meeting agenda includes a board of governors meeting, networking reception and dinner on July 30, followed by breakfast, the KAMC meeting and lunch on July 31.

The July 31 program includes a KAMC board update, SEVA update, Kentucky Retail Federation update, NAMA update, announcement of the 2026-2027 scholarship winner or winners, sponsor presentations and a group discussion on artificial intelligence and the future of technology.

KAMC said the artificial intelligence discussion will address its potential effects on operations and possible changes to the customer base in the coming years. The agenda also provides operators with access to state and federal advocacy updates, including issues related to unattended retail.

Chris Stave, vice president, business development, at  Sprout Retail, said the council is offering new operators KAMC membership at no charge for the initial year and said the offer has attracted new operator members.
