NAMA Adds Supply Chain Management To EDP

Oct. 1, 2013

NAMA announced that a supply chain management session has been added to this year’s Executive Development Program (EDP) at Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Mich. The program, scheduled for Oct. 20 to 24, 2013, will feature a supply chain management session taught by MSU professor Judy Whipple. MSU offers the top-ranked supply chain management program in the country.

“Organizations of all types continue to face greater complexity in today's global and challenging business environment,” Dr. Whipple said in a prepared statement. “Many firms have begun to realize how stronger supply chains can assist in managing this complexity. This session will examine how firms are able to utilize their supply chains for competitive advantage not only in terms of cost efficiencies, but also with respect to revenue and growth.”

“I’m thrilled EDP attendees will be able to learn from Dr. Whipple and the best supply chain management program in the country,” said Joann DeNardis, NAMA’s director education/certification. “Adding this session is further proof that NAMA strives to ensure the EDP is an excellent value.”

The EDP will feature a distinguished group of MSU faculty outside of Whipple. Guest speakers with valuable experience from the vending and refreshment service industries will be featured. NAMA also recently added a micro market session to the program. DeNardis stressed that while EDP is in its 13th year, the curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects the changing dynamic of the industry.
