Fundraiser For Mike Pohorylo’s Medical Needs Set For Feb. 4, 2012 In Suffield, Conn.

Family and friends of Mike Pohorylo will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 5 p.m. at Suffield Academy Seavern in Suffield, Conn. Pohorylo, 59, has been diagnosed with ALS/Lower Neuron Disease, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Pohorylo has served as a board member and president of the Connecticut Vending Association.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $25. The event will include appetizers, beverages, a silent auction and live music.

Items for the silent auction are being accepted by Jan. 13, 2012.

The association wishes to keep Pohorylo mobile to allow him to continue to keep doing the job he loves. The necessities include a special wheel chair, a van the state will outfit with hand controls for driving, a lift and ramps.

Proceeds from the cabaret night tickets and auction will help the costs not covered by health insurance or by the state.
