Maryland-DC Vending Association: The Legacy Of Success Continues

March 19, 2019

CHICAGO – March 18, 2019 – Another successful Convenience Services Day is in the books for the Maryland-DC Vending Association.

With 16 state council members participating, the leadership group met with members of the Maryland House of Delegates and the State Senate.  During the course of the day-long event, members acknowledged legislators for their efforts in passing a 2018 bill, later signed into law by Maryland’s Governor Hogan that provided a uniform definition of micro markets.  The law has since influenced legislation in several other states, providing clarity for the industry and lawmakers alike.

“I am proud of the ongoing support from our State Association members each year on Convenience Services Day.  This year, we met with new legislators and caught up with past supporters.  We continue to build positive relationships with state officials, enhancing their support, particularly as we work on issues including technology and wellness.  As the Maryland-DC Association, together we are proud to contribute more than 2,500 jobs and generate almost $400 million in economic impact to the state,” said Steve Boucher, president of the Maryland/DC Vending Association.
