WI-based Davians Opens New Cafe, Catering Service And Micro Market Property

Feb. 16, 2017
Milwaukee, WI, February 16, 2017 – Davians, a Wisconsin food, beverage and impeccable service leader, announced today it has opened a new public cafe and catering service for the tenants and neighbors of the Parkland Center office property, 11200 W. Parkland Ave., Milwaukee.  The three-story, 225,000 square-foot office property serves up to 1,200 occupants including employees of Molina Healthcare and Global Industrial.
Davians Cafe and Catering will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offer a healthy menu of foods made fresh to order, ready to grab and go, or catered. Customers can order online or in person. The cafe will serve breakfast and lunch, including an extensive salad bar, and will also sell pre-packaged dinners and convenience grocery items to take home.  Additionally, Davians plans to test delivery service within a five mile radius. Adjacent to the café, is a Davians micro market that will provide Parkland Center tenants a 24/7 self-serve, self-pay selection of locally made fresh meals along with popular snacks and beverages.
“Increasingly millennial workers are defining their own office hours,” said Scott Tausk, managing director, Griffin Capital Corporation. Parkland Center is owned by the Griffin Capital Essential Asset REIT. “Having a micro market available to tenants outside of normal business hours along with the type of high quality café and catering that Davians provides are amenities that will make this property one of the most desirable locations in suburban Milwaukee.”
“Convenient, yet healthy, dining options that serve a suburban office community are limited in this area,” added Judy Schieffer, foodservice division director for Davians. “During the workday, diners want fresh, yet fast, meal choices at competitive prices. It’s a growing employee and tenant expectation in modern workplaces and we look forward to meeting this need for Parkland Center tenants and neighbors.”
Davians is the largest micro market provider in southeast Wisconsin with 46 such markets including the new Parkland Center location. Additionally, the company runs public cafes at 411 East Wisconsin Center, MGIC, Medical College of Wisconsin and Schlitz Park where Davians also operates the popular Brown Bottle restaurant and the new Suite 414 entertainment and event space.   Davians, family owned for nearly 60 years, has three divisions: Catering & Events; Coffee, Vending & Micro Markets; and Dining & Corporate Cafes.
