NC - February 2017 Automated Services International, Inc., one of the industry's leading distributors of used and reconditioned vending machines, announced today that it has discontinued its strategic marketing & sales agreement with Betson Enterprises. ASI additionally announced setting up its own, 10,000 square foot refurb facility in Gastonia, NC, and continues to also distribute out of Corona, CA.
"It's hard to believe that it's been 7 years since Steven Betti asked me to help Betson develop a used equipment distribution model for them," said Joe Loparco. "We started out with a 3 way 'handshake deal' that included my brother, Bob, and his company, Choice Equipment Sales, with Choice providing Betson with high quality refurbished machines, and ASI providing Betson with hands on sales & marketing support. We ended up with Betson taking over Bob's Charlotte operation when Bob unfortunately became quite ill (BTW, he's doing great!), and my moving in to help with the transition and to grow the business on the strong foundation that Bob and his wife, Silvia, had built over the previous 20 years. Unfortunately, like all good consultants, we become victims of our own success, job well done, no longer needed, time to move on, in this case as friendly competitors."
